Yuval Abraham

Yuval Abraham is an Israeli investigative journalist, writer, and filmmaker working on the front lines of the conflict. As a Jewish intellectual raised in Israeli society, he is fluent in Arabic and uses the language as a bridge to dismantle communal barriers. His career is rooted in a quest for truth, consistently seeking to reflect on and critique the systemic roots of the cycle of violence from within Israeli society.

In terms of professional achievements, Abraham gained international acclaim for his deep-dive investigations into AI-driven weapon systems (such as “Lavender”) used in the Gaza conflict; his reporting exposed chilling technological-ethical issues in modern warfare. He is perhaps best known for co-directing the documentary No Other Land, which won the Best Documentary Award and the Audience Award at the 2024 Berlin International Film Festival. Through his lens, he captured with striking realism the struggle of Palestinian communities in Masafer Yatta in the West Bank against forced displacement, demonstrating his extraordinary courage and artistic power as a documentarian.

This close-range observation of reality has compelled Abraham to become a steadfast advocate for Palestinian rights. He has frequently used international platforms to denounce what he describes as Israel’s “apartheid” policies, calling for a future based on total equality before the law—even when such a stance subjects him to intense public pressure and death threats at home. He also participated in the 2025 petition, “Global Jewish Call on the UN and World Leaders to Sanction Israel.” For Abraham, standing with Palestine is not a betrayal of his people, but a moral duty that a Jewish journalist must fulfill to safeguard a common human ethical baseline in the face of injustice.
