Leo Reich is a prominent British comedian, writer, and actor. Born in London in 1998 to a Jewish family, Reich studied English literature at Cambridge University, where he was a member of the Cambridge Footlights comedy troupe. Reich identifies as queer.
Reich began performing stand-up in London before premiering his debut solo show, “Literally Who Cares?!,” at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2022, where it was nominated for Best Newcomer. The show transferred to Soho Theatre in London and Off-Broadway before being filmed as an HBO comedy special in 2023. Reich subsequently entered television writing and acting, landing a featured role in Lena Dunham’s Netflix series “Too Much” and writing and starring in the six-part Channel 4 comedy series “It Gets Worse.” In late 2025, Jewish News named him one of the “Faces of the Future” for 2026.
Reich uses his public platform to advocate for Palestinian human rights and voice opposition to Israeli military operations in Gaza. He signed the “Film Workers for Palestine” pledge and joined over 150 Jewish creative professionals in signing an open letter in April 2024 defending director Jonathan Glazer’s Oscar acceptance speech. The statement rejected the “false choice between Jewish safety and Palestinian freedom” and denounced the “weaponization of Jewish identity.” Reich is also one of the signatories of the 2025 public statement, “Global Jewish Call on the UN and World Leaders to Sanction Israel.”
