About
Often, when we say “Criticizing Israel is not anti-Semitism,” people ask: “Are these just a few ‘outliers’ or ‘traitors’ within the Jewish community? Doesn’t the other 99% support Israel?” Sadly, many people believe this myth—not only far-right Zionists but also many members of the general public, and even some supporters of Palestine. This misunderstanding is dangerous. It is weaponized by Zionists to deepen fears and silence honest conversation.
Jewish House of Peace is an information platform dedicated to Jewish organizations and notable figures who stand for peace and justice in Palestine. This is a project (not an organization), and you can use it for free. Our goals are simple:
-
To amplify their voices and make them easier for everyone to find.
-
To provide visual proof of two essential truths:
-
Anti-Zionism is not anti-Semitism. Zionism does not, and cannot, represent all Jewish people.
-
Pro-Palestinian voices are not rare. They are a powerful, mainstream part of the global Jewish community.
-
Seeing is Believing
We believe that “seeing is believing.” In the past, people tried to prove these points using complex theories. While those theories are important, we believe that an “at-a-glance” approach is just as vital.
If someone only sees one or two Jewish people supporting Palestine, they might mistakenly believe that Israel represents the entire Jewish nation. But if they visit this site and immediately see 80+ Jewish organizations and hundreds of famous figures standing for justice, they can see the truth for themselves.
By listing these voices in one place, we provide a tool to push back against lies and show the world the true diversity of Jewish thought.
What We Mean “Pro-Palestinian”
In the world of diplomacy, “Pro-Palestinian” often refers to supporting a “Two-State Solution.” However, on this platform, we use a broader and more inclusive definition. We include voices that support any of the following:
A “One-State Solution” (equality for everyone in one land).
Ending the colonial occupation of Palestinian territories.
The BDS movement (Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions).
The belief that Israel bears the primary responsibility for the lack of peace.
Anti-Zionism and the protection of Palestinian human rights.
Recognizing and opposing the genocide in Gaza.
A Note on “Left-wing Zionism”
Usually, Zionism and pro-Palestinian activism are seen as opposites. However, a small number of Jewish activists call themselves “Left-wing Zionists.” Because their vision for the future is often very close to our definition of “Pro-Palestinian”, we include them here to show the full range of Jewish voices for justice.
